I tend to take what I do pretty seriously. After 10+ years, it’s hard not to, I suppose. Still, when you get right down to it, this is just a collection of words arranged in an order that I hope make makes some sort of sense. In the overall scheme of things, my presence here…or lack of same…creates barely a ripple. It’s not that I’m having (yet another) existential crisis of self-confidence, but every now and again, something happens that reminds me that what’s truly important- those we care about and those who care about us- sometimes gets lost in the shuffle.
One of my favorite bloggers, Dusty at Leftwing Nutjob, has been diagnosed with cancer. I don’t know the details, only that it’s a journey to a place none of should ever have to go…and yet it seems here we are. Damn the bad luck….
