Today's dispatch from the attic

So how do we go about stopping the silly, mean, and patently false and propagandistic Super Pac ads? Well, I’m not sure, but shaming those responsible for the ads might not be a bad place to begin.

**

How can it be possible to have a meaningful Congressional hearing on birth control coverage when no women were allowed to testify? Darrell Issa has evidently figured out how to do that, because doesn’t seem to think women deserve a place at the table.

**

How do you know when you’ve sold out? How about when you’re a Democratic strategic and you sign on to become a consultant for the Bahraini government, which has brutally repressed pro-democracy demonstrations? What’s the price for Joe Trippi’s conscience? How about $15,000 a month? Hey, c’mon now; I’d consult for a brutal, anti-democratic cabal of despots for half that.

**

Greetings from Mississippi, where showering as an undocumented alien may soon be designated a felony. Evidently, proper hygiene should only be available to REAL Americans.

**

The beautiful thing about being a Republican is having the absolute freedom to make up “facts” without being burdened with things that weight down Liberal consciences- like “facts”, “truth”, and “evidence.” F’rinstance, you can claim, in all seriousness and with absolutely NO evidence to back it up, that birth control causes prostate cancer. Remember, if you’re a Conservative, truth is a fungible commodity.

**

This is what happens when we teach our children to hate and fear all things Islam- a student refuses to sing a song chosen for his high school choir because it’s Islamic. You have to know that when a justification for this sort of idiocy begins with “I don’t want to come across as a bigot or a racist….”, it’s ALL about bigotry and racism.

**

Hey, didja know that the reason Liberals support birth control is that we want to get rid of the poor? This according to the ultimate authority on impartial journalism, Fox Noise Channel. Hmm…and all this time I’d been thinking that eliminating the poor was the GOP’s bailiwick….

**

Better to be thought a racist and a bigoted fool than to be Eric Bolling and remove any lingering doubt.

**

It’s been called “the invisible genocide of women“…and it could ultimately be where the GOP’s war on women ends up. Not until women finally and inevitably accept and acquiesce to their rightful place as sperm receptacles and the property of men will America truly be safe.

**

Methinks it’s time that Rep. Allen West (R-FL) had his daily Thorazine intake increased. “[T]he Democratic appetite for ever-increasing redistributionary handouts is in fact the most insidious form of slavery remaining in the world today“…really? Sometimes I find myself wondering if West’s ever had a lucid thought.
