Today's dispatch from the attic

You have to know that we have today’s candidate for [Not exactly] Parents of the Year when you run across this headline: Starving teen, 15, ‘sexually assaulted by stepbrother, 18, while parents locked her in basement and made her eat own faeces’. This is where I begin to think that “an eye for an eye” might just be the way to go, justice-wise.

**

Hey, didja know that Barack Obama is a “Christian atheist”? Yeah, and I’m slightly pregnant…or was it partially dead?

**

Financial sex aid: Students seeking ‘Sugar Daddies and Mommies’ to pay for college degree. Hey, it’s like any other economic transaction, right? A female student uses her, um, assets to make a business deal. In the business world, this would be called “entrepreneurship”; in college it’s evidently referred to as “prostitution.” Methinks perhaps someone’s just jealous….

**

Mitt Romney’s “one of us”?? That’s what MI Governor Rick Snyder thinks, and I suppose he could be right; after all, every Michigander’s a ridiculously wealthy vulture capitalist with homes in New Hampshire, California, and Utah, right??

**

Extremism in the defense of liberty is no crime when you define extremism as stacking a Congressional hearing on contraceptive coverage to reflect and confirm your narrow, anti-woman prejudices.

**

If Pat Robertson uses his faith-healing mojo on you and it doesn’t work, it’s not the good Reverend’s fault. Clearly, you didn’t believe hard enough.

**

How do you know that Barack Obama is undercutting religious freedom in America? Because THE RELIGIOUS RIGHT SAYS SO. That’s why.

**

Remember democracy? The rule of law? One man, one vote? Majority rule? Me neither. Given the success of Michigan’s Emergency Manager law, I hear Gov. Rick Snyder is up for a spot on the new season of TLC’s “American Despot.”

**

You might think that earthquakes are a geologically-explainable phenomenon, when in fact they’re actually created by godless shamans practicing voodoo and making pacts with Satan.

**

Bryan Fischer thinks that women are emotionally unfit for combat. Peraonally, I think Fischer’s emotionally unfit for putting forth arguments based on truth, facts, and evidence.
