GOP 2012: Because America is SO much better when we react instead of think

Mitt Romney is angry at the National Labor Relations Board because, under President Obama, it has been fulfilling its mission of upholding labor law. Sometimes that means companies get in trouble for illegally firing workers or otherwise retaliating against them for exercising their rights. When George W. Bush’s NLRB was routinely favoring business, Republicans were not so outraged. Can you say “race to the bottom”?

Lost in the focus on the GOP’s war on women is the reality that Republicans are also waging war against federal employees (Man, talk about self-loathing…aren’t politicians public employees?). That’s right, federal employees are a drain on the public purse, a collection of lazy, shiftless ingrates sucking at the public teat while REAL Americans are suffering.

Or something like that.

Even worse is that Mitt Romney is leading the Republican Presidential candidates in advocating that the GOP declare war on the rights of ALL workers. So, let me see if I have this straight. Republicans have declared war on women, they’ve declared war on federal employees, and they’re declaring war on all workers. Oh, yeah…and they’ve declared war on Hispanics. Technically, I guess this leaves African-Americans and Muslims…but racism and Islamophobia are two of the pillars of today’s GOP, so Republicans will surely and thoroughly alienate them before too much longer.

And when will Republicans begin to talk about concrete, reasonable, and appropriate solutions for getting the economy back on track? What about health care reform? Infrastructure? The bloated, wasteful military-industrial complex? The list goes on, but you get the idea, right?

Uh…who do Republicans think is going to vote for them come November? Especially if they’re busy focusing on hot-button social issues instead of the things that hit Americans in the wallet? They’ll tell you that they’re focusing on the important things. Right. Abortion? The President’ birth certificate? Immigration? Gay rights = special rights? Really??

VOTE REPUBLICAN IN 2012: FOUR MORE FEARS!!
