Today in creative social activism

There may be time when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest.

  • Elie Wiesel

It’s been while since my pseudonymous comrade-in-arms, The Freeway Blogger, has checked in, but it seems he hasn’t departed the scene. He’s just been laying low for a spell, and his hiatus appears to be over. Known for decorating freeways overpasses with messages of protest in California, TFB is taking his show up the I-5 corridor into Oregon and Washington.

Over the next month or so, if you’re driving through Eugene, Portland, Tacoma, or Seattle, you might just find yourself confronted with a message hung on a freeway overpass. If it makes you think about what’s happening in our world…well, so much the better. Sometimes, forcing people to think isn’t the worst thing that could happen to them, knowhutimean??

Stay tuned for further updates…. ;-)
