Giving your all for Queen and Country??

(click on picture-arguably NSFW- to embiggenate…via Deadspin)

England rarely goes down without a fight, however. And one fan, situated in the first row behind the goal, did his best to distract Diamanti by dropping his shorts just before his shot…. This photo was taken just after the dagger, at the moment defeat became final. So then, that’s your lasting image of England from Euro 2012: a lone fan, arms crossed in disappointment and resignation, a St. George’s Cross fright wig on his head and his sad English penis flapping in the Kiev breeze.

If you watched Sunday’s Euro 2012 quarterfinal match between Italy and England, you had to know that all of Great Britain understood their lads were finished when the game ended in a scoreless draw after 120 minutes. English fans have developed an unnatural aversion to penalty kicks…primarily because English players seem to develop an overactive gag reflex when faced with taking a penalty kick for Queen and Country in a major international tournament.

As feared, Italy won 4-2 on penalty kicks. Substitute Alessandro Diamanti clinched the victory by burying his opportunity in the left corner of the goal as English goalkeeper Joe Hart chose wrong and dove in the opposite direction. England, after being thoroughly dominated by Italy in the second half, still had a chance to win…if they’d been able to bury their penalty kicks. If…if…if…it’s the story of English football over the past few years, and while England may be in disbelief over the crushing defeat, one fan at least gave (or showed) his all to distract Diamanti’s effort.

If you click on the picture to enlarge it, you’ll notice (think “Where’s Waldo?”) that one English fan dropped trou and presented Diamanti with full frontal…ugh. I haven’t seen a lot of naked Englishman in my time, and this poor bloke offers a very good reason to keep it that way. Still, props to the unnamed Englishman willing to air his shortcomings for Queen and Country.

Wow…the last time I saw something that small, it had an eraser on the end of it.
