Mitt Romney 2012: It's not a lie if you've convinced yourself that it's true

Chronicling Mitt’s Mendacity, Vol. XXII: When the New York Times calls out a candidate because his “entire campaign rests on a foundation of short, utterly false sound bites,” there’s little doubt that they’re referring to Mitt Romney. Evidently having decided to run the first completely fact-free Presidential campaign in our nation’s history, Romney will even lie- frequently and vociferously- about being a man of integrity.

If President Obama was running a campaign characterized by such epic mendacity and willful dessication of the truth, he’d (justifiably) be roasted by the Mainstream Media. So why is Mitt Romney getting a free pass? Oh, right; he’s a Republican, and as everyone knows by now, being a Republican means never having to say you’re sorry…or worry about being held accountable.

The Immorality of What Mitt Romney is Selling: Romney’s economic plan is the moral equivalent of forcing the middle to drop trou, bend over, and grab their ankles, and take it like a man while ever more wealth and power are transferred to the 1%. How is it that anything even close to a majority of the American Sheeple will vote for Romney? Oh, right…because they’re easily led mindless sheep easily programmed to vote against their own best interest.

Electionate: Why Isn’t Romney Competing in Minnesota?. Hmm…perhaps self-interest and epic mendacity just don’t play well in my home state? Perhaps Minnesotans are smart enough to recognize when someone’s lying through they’re teeth? Perhaps they’re willing to refuse to vote for someone who wouldn’t recognize the truth if it showed up with kneepads and a tube of AstroGlide??

The 7 Major Issues Mitt Romney Won’t Take A Position On. Because Romney knows if he did actually take a position on these issues, voters might begin to think about just how little he cares about anything but himself and his wealthy friends.

Mitt Romney Is Terrible For Traffic: We admit it, and so do other bloggers and editors: Nobody seems to want to read stories about Mitt Romney. What else could one reasonably expect? Romney’s a soulless, colorless drone and prevarication factory who makes Al Gore look positively animated.

WOMAN DRESSED IN GIANT BIRTH CONTROL COSTUME WILL FOLLOW ROMNEY ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL: Perhaps they can convince the American Sheeple just how virulently anti-woman Romney’s policies really are. Romney and his fellow Republicans feign offense at the assertion that they’re waging a war on women, but how many anti-choice bills have been introduced by Republicans in state legislatures? How much time has Congress spent debating anti-choice bills have been introduced into and debated by Congress?

If Mitt Romney and Republicans revere women as much as they claim, they certainly have a funny way of showing it.

MITT ROMNEY WILL TURN ALL THE NATION’S SCHOOLS INTO LOUISIANA AND IT WILL BE SO GREAT: Hey, didja know that Mitt Romney’s campaign released a 35-page White Paper detailing his plan to decimate improve America’s public edumication system? Yeah, a couple weeks ago…not that anyone noticed, because who believes anything that Romney says anymore?

Besides, when his 35-page White Paper can be boiled down to the following three points, can it even be taken seriously? Like I need to answer that.

  1. Privatize K-12 education to give people Choices and whatnot.

  2. Loosen regulations on for-profit college education to stimulate Competition and the subsequent lowering of prices.

  3. Destroy Teachers’ Unions because they are Communist, basically.

Romney Campaign Said To Ask Scott To Downplay Job Gains: Yeah, you wanted to give the American Sheeple the impression that things are actually improving, would you? Propaganda only works when everyone’s singing from the same hymnal.

Romney’s Bain Capital invested in companies that moved jobs overseas: Mitt Romney loved America SO much that he help move all those pesky, inefficient jobs overseas. That way, more Americas could enjoy a(n) (enforced) life of leisure.

LUCKY ROMNEY CAMP HAS ‘ENOUGH TRUTH’ TO ‘HAVE IT BOTH WAYS’ IN FLORIDA: Republicans may only discuss truth and facts if they echo the Romney campaign-approved talking points. Remember, propaganda only works when everyone is singing from the same hymnal.

Companies’ Ills Did Not Harm Romney’s Firm. When I think of Mitt Romney, the word “vulture” comes to mind. Romney made his fortune off the misfortune and suffering of others farther down the economic food chain. Destroying businesses, putting people out of work- just another day at Bain Capital. That’s “capitalism” only if you insert the word “vulture” in front of it.
