Perhaps it waa just that 1984 was a more innocent time, a time when no one thought it necessary to…oh, I don’t know…check a cheesy promotional song for vaguely yet disturbingly sexual lyrics with unmistakably homoerotic overtones? Yeah, I know, the Los Angeles (now St. Louis) Rams were just trying to sell tickets (Hey, YOU try to fill the 90,000 seat L.A. Coliseum…then talk to me, ‘kay?), but come on, man.
