America by the number: Indecision 2012 edition

Rep. Allen West (R-FL), one of the most controversial Tea Party freshmen in Congress, lost his bid for re-election Tuesday night. Despite moving to a new, more-Republican district (Florida’s 18th congressional district), West was edged by challenger Patrick Murphy (D) by 2,500 votes. During his two-year tenure in Congress, West earned a reputation as not only one of the House’s most brash members, but also its top Islamophobe.

Looking Ahead: Seven States That Could Next Expand Rights for Same-Sex Couples: Interracial marriage was once considered immoral and illegal. Americans got over it. So it will be with marriage equality.

Four More Years - Obama beats the right wing hate machine: Not that the hate machine will grind to a halt, of course, but the good guys won, and it’s going to be fun to listen to the haters screw themselves up into a self-righteous lather. Let the silliness commence…or continue….

Four GOP Senate Candidates Who Lost The Argument On Taxes: It turns out that Americans really don’t want to subsidize the 1% at their own expense. Go figure.

New Info On Romney’s Tax Avoidance: 15 Years Of Little Or No Taxes: Quelle surprise, eh? Now we’ll never get to see his tax returns.
