Assessing the damage on Bulls%#t Mountain

Election Night would have been worthwhile if for no other reason than to watch the talking heads at Bulls%#t Mountain News Channel Fox “News” Channel melt down upon being given the news that Mitt Romney had lost and lost decisively. The whining and the rationalizing and the unhinged moralizing was priceless.

These two segments are perhaps the most brilliant things Jon Stewart has done during his tenure on The Daily Show. Conservatives will see it as highly and overtly partisan, of course, but that’s nowhere near the truth. All Stewart does is hoist FNC talking heads on their own petards and rank hypocrisy. I don’t watch Fox “News” Channel, of course, but on Election Night the proved that sometimes Schdenfreude is the best freude of all.

What is it about Conservatives that makes them such poor losers, as if their belief system is ordained by God and impervious to defeat? And how is it that a news channel that purports to be “Fair and Balanced” could be staffed by people so abjectly and uniformly crushed when “their” candidate loses? So much for journalistic objectivity, eh??
