Lisa Biron, an associate with a national coalition of anti-gay Christian lawyers, faces federal charges stemming from her alleged activity in child pornography. Biron, a New Hampshire lawyer, was arrested by F.B.I. agents on Friday, November 16. She faces the following charges: transportation with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, possession of child pornography and five counts of sexual exploitation of children. According to federal indictments, the lawyer took a teenage girl to Canada, had her engage in sexual activity, and convinced her to let it be filmed.
Sometimes I find myself wondering if those on the Rabid Right even understand (or recognize) concepts like “shame” or “hypocrisy.” Whether it’s a Conservative Senator getting busted for soliciting homosexual sex in an airport men’s room or a Conservative lawyer getting busted for her involvement in an international child pornography scheme, I find myself wanting to ask a very simple question:
WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE??
Biron, who works with the Alliance Defending Freedom (and no, I’m not about to dignify these trolls with a link), certainly has some ‘splainin’ to do. Evidently, “keeping the door open for the spread of the Gospel” and protecting “religious liberty, the sanctity of life, and marriage and family” doesn’t mean what a reasonable person might think it does.
For someone who lists the Bible as her favorite book on her Facebook page, Biron sure has a funny way of living a Christ-like life. Perhaps her flavor of Christ sees children as existing primarily for the sexual gratification of adults.
I find it fascinating (and extremely disturbing) that Biron seems to be able to square her ultra-Conservative Christophilic homophobia with her willingness and eagerness to sexually exploit children.
“Suffer the children to come unto me,” indeed….
And people wonder why I don’t believe in God. Honestly, it’s not God I have a problem with; it’s his fan club…and people like Lisa Biron only confirm my disdain for hypocritical Christianity. If you believe it and you want others to believe it also, it’s beholden upon you to set an example as to what living a Christ-like actually means.
I can only hope there will be a reserved parking space in Hell for Lisa Biron.
