War is Hell: Today's dispatch from the front lines of the War on Christmas

The war on the war on Christmas is starting early this year over at Fox News, where hosts across the network’s programs spent Thanksgiving week decrying the secularization of the holiday season…. “The first salvo in the war on Christmas this year has been shot,” Fox legal analyst Peter Johnson warned. Johnson was decrying, as other hosts after him repeatedly would, the decision by Santa Monica, California to discontinue its 60-year tradition of displaying a nativity scene for Christmas. Much like how the holiday shopping season seems to begin earlier and earlier every year, Fox’s hosts claimed that atheists and “left wing loons,” were already launching their assault on the Christian tradition at the expense of everyone else’s fun…. “Are these atheists ruining Christmas for the kids?,” Bill O’Reilly asked a guest on his show.

Fox News prepares viewers for the terrifying war on Christmas: Most Americans have NO idea how ill-prepared they are for the ravages of the War on Christmas.

A DECLARATION OF WAR ON CHRISTMAS: Christmas is an illusion, and they are trying to sell to others an illusion. We will shatter the illusion! We will eat their defenders like Pringles! Evidently, the War on Christmas is spreading. Why do Americans hate the baby Jesus??

The Christian calendar is wrong, Jesus was born years earlier: Pope Benedict XVI: Pope Benedict XVI: The Official Biographer of Jesus Christ…and evidently a leader in the War on Christmas.

War on Christmas Begins…: And the early reports of casualties are disturbing.

In Santa Monica, It’s Not Looking a Lot Like Christmas Thanks to Nativity Scene Ban: Why do the city fathers of Santa Monica hate the baby Jesus??

War on Christmas: ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’ at the Center of an Elementary School Controversy: Who’s going to argue with Charlie Brown? But did you know that the cartoon character is a spokesman for LGBT rights, marriage equality, AND the War on Christmas?

Fox News Channel: Here Comes the War on Christmas: IT’s Christmas, which means its time to scare the kiddos into becoming compliant, malleable Christians who will do whatever their leaders and Fox “News” Channel tell them to do.

The War on Christmas is Real: At least it was 350 years ago.

Robertson: ‘Miserable’ Atheists Trying to ‘Steal’ Christmas: And if anyone knows miserable, it’s Pat Robertson.

Non-Existent ‘War On Christmas’ Is Apparently Being Won By The People Who Invented It [W]hen one of these lesser lights walks into Walgreens and hears “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas And Praise Be To You Who Were Smart Enough To Practice The Best Religion Ever!” something inside these adherents’ psyches snaps, breaks, and they come to develop an insane persecution complex. This, of course, has nothing to with Christmas or the teachings of Jesus Christ. It’s just another opportunity for demagogues to use their false piety to gin up faux outrage, fake religiosity, and attract money.

War on Christmas: The good folks over at Fox Nation have dedicated an entire web page to the War on Christmas. How thoughtful of them to beat the drums…for something that doesn’t even exist.

War On Christmas: A Narrative : If not for Godless Liberals, America would be safe for Christians who oppose “taking the ‘Christ’ out of Christmas.”
