Dade County Sheriff’s Department reported incidents from last week that included a shooting and burglary.
Chief Detective Don Hicks and Detective Mark Garner responded to a shooting call on Williams Road in Rising Fawn on March 8th.
The investigation revealed that Corey Williams had accidentally shot himself with a .22 rifle. He was transported by LifeForce to Erlanger Medical Center and treated for what turned out to be a non-life threatening injury.
The investigation further revealed that Williams is a convicted felon who is currently on probation. Williams was charged with one count of a felon in possession of a firearm. That is a felony charge and he is currently in the Dade County Jail.
