[R]eading a Wall Street Journal article by Paul Ryan on the air, I mean, I don’t see how that is a fair and balanced approach, but I appreciate you being honest.
I’m not certain what happened to Bill Hemmer. When he was at CNN, he actually seemed a fairly reasonable sort. Then he went over to The Dark Side Fox News Channel and (to quote Pink Floyd), the worms ate into his brain. Perhaps he’s just trying to prove he belongs, but Hemmer’s turned into a Right-wing zealot, not the sort of thing you expect from a journalist.
Silly me; I’d always thought that being a journalist meant pursuing the truth objectively. Why a Democrat like Chris Van Hollen would dignify the GOP Proganda Network by agreeing to be interviewed by Hemmer defies rational understanding. I admire his desire to present the Democratic point of view, but he had to know he was walking into a situation set up for him to fail. In this case, thankfully, Hemmer took the self-induced pratfall.
If you insist on believing that Fox News Channel really is “fair and balanced,” if you think it fairly and objectively provides news coverage, you really need to a) watch this video and b) remove your anterior from your posterior.
