'Cuz there ain't no crazy like Far Right-wing, über Jesus-y, Socially Conservative crazy

Iowa Congressman Steve King recently sat down with WorldNetDaily for a conversation about America’s Christian heritage where, in addition to saying that the best way to defeat “secular humanists” is to provide vouchers to students so that they can use tax dollars to attend religious schools and receive a proper moral education, he also offered up some rock solid proof that America is a Christian nation.

Citing a debate he had with Alan Colmes several years ago, King used a hypothetical situation in which someone accidentally ran over their neighbor’s dog and then went and apologized.

In that act, King explained, the person at fault confesses, repents, and seeks forgiveness which, when received, leads to redemption … which proves that America is a Christian nation….
