It's called Puddletown for a reason

A weather version of Where’s Waldo. Can you spot our storm on this visible satellite imagery? Look for the feature that looks like an upside down comma. Just off the north end of Vancouver Island. THAT’S what is responsible for the rain and wind tonight!

Erin and I happened to pick this weekend to go to a football game at the University of Washington in Seattle. We had great seats- four rows up on the 15-yard line- which seems good until you consider that the game was played in a downpour of biblical proportions. The last time I saw that much rain and wind was during a hurricane on the Texas Gulf Coast…and I was smart enough to get out of the rain on that occasion. No such luck this time around.

We also went to the Portland Timbers-L.A. Galaxy match in Portland this afternoon and were treated to much of the same weather. At least this time we were under cover and were able to stay dry, but it feels like January…in September.

If you’ll excuse me, I need to do a Google search for instructions on building an ark….
