For the first time in several months, I’m on vacation. To say that I need a break is something of an understatement…not that I’m about to claim my life sucks. Far from it. I have a great life, and every day I recognize how incredibly fortunate I am. That said, it doesn’t mean I don’t need to get the heck up outta Dodge every now and then, knowhutimean??
Erin and I are off to San Francisco for a few days. I’ll probably still be posting things (I have enough queued up to keep things going for awhile), but I have no idea when or how often…or much of anything, really. Hey, I’m on vacation (if only I could talk Erin into letting me pay $400 for a tee time at Pebble Beach)….
The last time I was in San Francisco was a month after the 1989 earthquake. I’m looking forward to seeing the city and the surrounding area without the earthquake damage, closed entrance and exit ramps, and the drama and heartache that was the aftermath in 1989. I’m going to play tourist, since I didn’t really have a chance to see much the last time I was there.
Perhaps you won’t even notice a change over the next few days…or perhaps you will. I haven’t made up my mind yet, but after almost 13 years, what was once an obsession has become a habit…and a tough one to break.
