I don’t have a lot to say this morning, but I did want to throw something out worthy of consideration. This story, if true- and by all indications and evidence it is- represents just about the most cynical and distressingly evil thing I’ve run across in some time:

If there was any question (and there well should be) about Russia being an ally, the deliberate shooting down of MH17 should remove any lingering doubt. The Russian government, based on all available evidence, appears to have been behind this tragedy- if they didn’t have their finger on the trigger. Vladimir Putin’s Russia is as much an American ally as he is the Queen of Sweden.
The Russian separatists in Ukraine care for little but their narrow cause. The lives of the 298 innocent civilians aboard MH17 to them are merely pawns in their “struggle.” Why their Russian patrons don’t have the balls to step forward and accept responsibility defies any rational understanding I’m capable of.
May they rot in the Hell they so richly deserve to inhabit.
