Meet Megan Fox, who is not the dopey actress from the Transformers movies, but is instead a dopey homeschooling mom who doesn’t believe that organisms transform over time. She has her very own YouTube channel where she reviews children’s books and pursues a single-minded crusade against corruption on the public library board of Orland Park, Illinois. Ms. Fox recently took a visit to the Field Museum’s “Evolving Earth” exhibit — it’s actually “The Evolving Planet,” but whatevs, that’s the smallest error she’s made — to “audit it for bias.” Guess what? Steven Colbert was right! That science museum was just FULL of liberal bias and reality — if you believe the lies of science, that is.
I’ll grant that in a free society, Megan Fox is entitled to believe whatever is that gives her life meaning and purpose. When I realize that she’s home-schooling her children and filling their minds with nonsense…well, it just seems like something approaching child abuse, but what do I know? I’m just a angry, godless Librul. I do know ignorance when I see it, though…and stupid people don’t have to raise stupid people. Not only is Fox raising children destined to be every bit as ignorant and intellectually vacant as she is…she’s spreading her anti-scientific nonsense across da Interwebs. Yay, stoopid!!
Fox doesn’t believe in evolution, in the idea that species evolve over time and adapt to changing environments. When a species comes into existence, that is what they are, forever and ever, amen…and don’t you go trying to tell her any different. Fox KNOWS what those evil, Liberal scientists are up to…and she’s damned if she’s going to stand for it. She’ll go all Victoria Jackson on those who’d push science on our poor, impressionable snowflakes…because scientists don’t know what they’re talking about. How could they…were they there when dinosaurs roamed the Earth? Of COURSE they weren’t…and there you have it- BOOM!!- proof that scientists are talking out their backside.
Science denial (a pretty substantial bias) doesn’t seem a good starting point for evaluating a science museum’s exhibit for “bias”- the exhibits are created and vetted by those with scientific backgrounds, after all. Then again, you know how anti-creationism all those eggheads are, right? They have a truly disturbing tendency to want to be able to empirically prove things…but since they weren’t around when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, how do they really know what happened? And thus did Megan Fox disprove evolution, DUH!
The wonderful thing about faith, I suppose, is that you don’t actually have to prove anything. You can believe in the veracity of something…and, Voila!, it’s the truth. I can believe that supermodels adore me and that I’m an All-Pro quarterback who’s won four straight Super Bowls…but that’s only an example of faith firmly grounded in delusion.
Science, though, runs on the provable and the demonstrable…except to people like Megan Fox, who evidently believes that you can’t prove something you didn’t see. (I didn’t see the Packers make the NFL playoffs…so does that mean it didn’t happen?) So, yes, scientists are all godless Liberals bent on turning our children into faithless automatons who will never know the benefits of God’s love. Or something like that.
Man, it seems like anybody can get a YouTube channel these days, doesn’t it??
