Republicans are just putting the "Christ" back in "Christ, how do we take insurance from the 10 million Americans who gained it this year?"

I understand, of course, that the Right-wing desire to kill the Affordable Care Act and take health insurance away from 10 million Americans has nothing to do with the teachings of Jesus Christ. No matter how much they might try to claim the mantle of the Almighty, this struggle is really about Conservative zealots attempting to cloak their cause with the patina of righteousness- poorly and clumsily.
This is about the abject, visceral, burning-with-the-intensity-of-a-thousand-suns hatred of The Black Guy in the White House ©. The fact that millions of Americans would lose health insurance coverage if Conservatives succeed is evidently of no concern, merely a cost of doing business…because what’s really important is crushing Barack Obama. That many could die for lack of health insurance coverage is unfortunate but really secondary to the Prime Directive: This President must under no circumstance be allowed ANYTHING even faintly redolent of victory.
It’s petty and beyond ugly and mean-spirited, but when one has no soul this is the sort of thing one does. This is what happens when you define any sort of government largesse that doesn’t end up in your pocket as “socialism.” There’s no rational, humane explanation for continuing a campaign which, if successful, will result in millions losing their health insurance. That this will cost thousands their lives for lack of coverage should be something that would give anyone with even the barest shred of humanity pause. Of course, this presumes that the Conservatives working to kill Obamacare possess even that.
Because in the end, Republicans are people, too- mean, selfish, greedy people completely devoid of humanity and compassion.
