When Democrats pretend to be Republicans in order to be loved

The New Democrat Coalition—a “pro-growth, fiscally responsible” group of Democratic lawmakers—thinks the Democrats’ “lack of pro-business messaging” is what hurt them in 2014: [M]embers also brought up concerns about the government spending bill that passed in December and the lack of pro-business messaging in the mid-term elections. Moderate Democrats—who suddenly feel under siege after Sen. Elizabeth Warren put the klieg lights on the dark corners of efforts to empower business at the expense of taxpayers—are arguing that Democrats will be confined to minority status forever if they don’t, well, moderate their efforts to protect consumers.

No one has ever gotten wealthy wagering on the moral courage of Democrats. Standing up to Republicans and refusing to back off just isn’t something you’re likely to see Cowardly Lions Democrats do. Oh, there’s an exception or three- Alan Grayson, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren- but the vast majority of Democrats seem to be afraid of their own shadow. In an effort to feel more loved and accepted, some Democrats have even started acting like Republicans…especially when it comes to the GOP’s love for corporations and desire to sodomize the middle class.

“Pro-growth” and “fiscal responsibility” shouldn’t be translated to mean “screw the middle class”…by Democrats, who’ve always portrayed themselves (inaccurately, in this case) as being defenders of the 99%. Turns out they’ve seen how Republicans won the midterm elections by fellating the Koch brothers…and suddenly they’re all showing up with knee pads. Evidently, plutocracy is the game our entire political system can play.

Now the weasel lobby of the Democratic Party has their panties in a wad because Elizabeth Warren insists on calling them out for their cowardice and refusal to stand up for the things and people who got them where they are.

Democrats lost the midterms because they didn’t have the courage of their convictions. They couldn’t articulate a convincing message…because they didn’t have one, and as we all know, when you stand for nothing, good things don’t come your way. Now some Democrats have decided the path to being loved by voters lies in adapting the Republican agenda…and screwing over the voters who elected them to represent their interests. ‘Course, no will ever go broke underestimating the collective intelligence of the American Sheeple, but if you want to be a Republican, why not switch parties? Why not at least have the honesty and the moral courage to do the right thing and admit to your perfidy? It’s not like anyone’s going to vote for you, anyway.

Because, as Mitch McConnell (he has your balls in his desk drawer, anyway) will be happy to tell you, REPUBLICANS are responsible for the current economic upturn. REPUBLICAN policies are why gas is under $2/gallon and unemployment is dropping.

How do we know this to be true? Because Fox News Channel tells us so. And the New Democrat Coalition is ready, willing, and able to throw America under the bus because they believe the propaganda.

Way to go, America.
