Today on "Truly, Deeply Stupid Things Republicans Do, Say, and Believe"

Sometimes the best way to illustrate the lunacy and anti-intellectual fervor on the Far Right is to let it speak for itself…and this stuff speaks volumes. It probably says more about those who vote for these reality-challenged maroons than it does about the fools themselves. After all, how stupid must one be in order to believe that these misanthropes are worthy (or even capable) of holding public office?

Texas Bill Would Punish Businesses If They Don’t Discriminate: Because if we let transgender people go to the bathroom, before you know it EVERYONE will expect to be able to go to the bathroom.

Scott Walker Says He Can Take On ISIS Because He Took On Labor Unions: Being a mean-spirited, heartless S.O.B. who takes joy from destroying the middle class is hardly proof of one’s ability to stand up to terrorists. It just means you’re a miserable excuse for a human being.

Poll: 54% of Republicans say that, “deep down,” Obama is a Muslim: And 54% of Republicans are f——-g morons who shouldn’t be trusted not to run with scissors, much less to vote.

Republican Lawmaker Thinks Women Can Get Gynecological Exams by Swallowing Cameras: I realize the miracles of modern medicine come faster and with increasing ferocity these days, but methinks Idaho State Rep. Vito Barbieri (R) may just be getting ahead of the curve here. Either that, or he’s really all about finding new and different ways to violate women in the name of “small government.”

Fox News Bashes Patricia Arquette For Advocating Wage Equality: ‘I Was Appalled’: Because wage equality and equal treatment in the workplace is only for losers and Liberals.

Ben Carson: It Would Be ‘Too Depressing’ To Outline All The Obama Administration’s Failures: Right…but we could certainly sum up Republican success stories in a matter of seconds.

Kansas Republicans want to criminalize teaching about sex, nude art, and ‘harmful’ books: Because if public schools don’t teach our children that sex is dirty, nasty, and dangerous, who will?? Before you know it, they’ll be enjoying sex and copulating like rabbits. The missionary positions and 30 seconds was good enough for my generations; it should be enough for them.

GOP Rep: Obama Is ‘More Aggressive’ Toward Christians Than Toward ISIL: Right…’cuz ain’t NUTHIN’ worse than being a persecuted minority…especially since The Black Guy in the White House is a closet Muslim and hates America. And Ted Poe was blessed with the IQ of a corn snake.

West Virginia Republicans Want To Throw People In Jail For Helping Uninsured Get Obamacare: Despite what the good, God-fearing White Conservatives in the West Virginia Legislature may believe, you don’t get to choose which federal laws you’ll obey and which are just too inconvenient and oppressive. Nullification is unconstitutional…but just try telling that to those who believe the Constitution merely parrots what they believe to be true…and that Jesus wrote it.

Idaho Republican backs faith-healer parents: ‘If I want to let my child be with God, why is that wrong?’: Come on, now…if God had meant for children to have rights, they’d have been born adults. If parents in Idaho can’t treat their children as property, what’s the point of having children?

Christian college student hurls apple at pro-gay speaker, insists he didn’t ‘cast the first stone’: The first apple, perhaps…but certainly not the first stone. Besides, it was just a warning fruit to let the speaker know they’re a horrible sinner destined for the fiery pits of Hell.

Nevada Assemblywoman: Cancer Is Just A Fungus: Wow…you’d think that after all the years and billions of dollars spent on cancer research someone would’ve figured this out before a Republican state legislator did.

American Family Association Creates “Bigotry Map” Featuring Dozens of Atheist, Humanist, and Pro-LGBT-Rights Groups: Because taking away your right to take away the rights of those whose lifestyle, beliefs, and/or sexuality you despise is NOT trampling on your God-given rights. Shining a spotlight on your bigotry, homophobia, and religious intolerance is not in and of itself bigotry.

Duggar daughter casts judgment against liberal Christians: You’re going to Hell — but I’m not: Ah, to be young, White, self-righteous, and famous only for being the daughter of people famous primarily for being homophobes and breeding like bunnies. Just the sort of people we should be going to for moral advice, no??
