Ted Cruz campaign slogans...brought to you by the fine folks at Twitter

It seems this generation’s Joseph McCarthy thinks he has something to offer America…if “something to offer” means “feeding his massive ego,” that is. In a campaign kickoff speech before an packed house of several thousand college students required to be in atttendance or face fines from Liberty University, Cruz promised a fact-free Presidency, long on fear-mongering and hyper-religiosity and short on compassion and the social safety net. I have little doubt but that he’s fully capable of delivering.

Cruz’ America would be a capitalist Paradise where citizens are freed of the burden of health care insurance, freed to die from the inability to pay for health care. The 1% would rule and everyone else would fight for scraps, and permanent recession would be virtually guaranteed. He’s good at saying what the Tea Party faithful want to hear, but not so much at addressing the issues this country faces in a rational and factual manner. In short, Ted Cruz is a snake oil salesman who cares less about America than he does his own self-aggrandizement and lust for power and control.

Man, feeding that ego must be a full-time, 24/7/365 undertaking.

Thankfully for him, America is on the job, and many have contributed possible campaign slogans…via Twitter, so you know they’re well-considered and honest. Because whenever I need cogent, dispassionate analysis, I always turn to Twitter.

And I’m seldom disappointed.
