"Gay bombs?" What's next? Sprinkling fairy dust in our drinking water??

Yesterday on “Washington Watch,” the Family Research Council’s Craig James fielded a call from a listener who wondered if the Pentagon had secretly used a “gay bomb” on America, leading to a rise in the number of openly gay people in the country today. The caller noted that his theory — loosely based on an actual 1994 proposal floated by Air Force scientists for a “hormone bomb” that could “turn enemy soldiers into homosexuals and make them more interested in sex than fighting” — sounded “off in left field.” But he just had to ask if “some of those same techniques got used on the American people.”…. James said he never heard of the “gay bomb” and agreed that it’s “out there for sure,” hastening to add that he believes the real reason America is even debating topics like homosexuality is because “we’ve moved away from God’s word in the Bible.”

For a group of people so dedicated to personal liberty and freedom, it certainly seems as if the Rabid Right spends a lot of time obsessing about what consenting adults do behind closed doors. Could it really be that they’re insecure enough about their own sexuality that they feel threatened by Big Gay? ‘Cuz Lord only knows it’s a matter of time before the Kenyan Muslim usurper in the White House hands the reigns to the US government over to his homosexual overlords and Dan Savage is installed as High Priest and Bottom for Life.

Yes, there really are people who seem to worry about the possibility that they might be “turned” gay (Maybe it’s something in the water?). They fear that something beyond their control may turn them into raging queens, gay sex addicts who can’t control their urges and will be condemned to travel the express lane to Hell. Worse, they’ll try to convert our children, eventually meaning that mankind will die off because everyone will be too busy having wild gay sex to procreate.

The “gay bomb” was a silly idea in 1994, and being worried that the government actually has one means that a person have exited the realm of the sublime for the ridiculous some time ago. When even Craig James- no one’s reasoned intellectual- thinks the idea of a “gay bomb” is too “out there,” you know rational thought has left the premises for warmer climes.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m waiting for orders from my radical Muslim homosexual overlords. I must be prepared when they beckon….
