What I don’t, and can’t, understand are the hyper-religious zealots who believe their flavor of Imaginary Being to be the One, True, and Only Faith, which provides them the absolute right to give their beliefs the force of law. Then again, sometimes examples of zealots doing their thing can be highly entertaining. I can’t help but think that going through life burdened with so much hatred, self-righteousness, and willingness to subjugate others to your moral code can’t be easy. Tolerance, acceptance, and inclusion are good things, things Jesus Christ taught…not that you’d recognize modern Christianity as having anything at all to do with His Gospel.
