Another Great Moment in "We Need This...WHY???"

Given the number of people shot by police every year because they were reaching for a “suspicious object”, you might think that disguising firearms as everyday objects is a bad idea. But US company Ideal Conceal disagrees—a double-barrelled .380 iPhone is exactly what we need to ensure our safety and freedom. The concept is simple: when it’s folded up, the weapon looks like a smartphone dressed in a chunky case; unfolded, it’s ready to fire, with two rounds chambered. Speaking to CNN, the gun’s developer made it clear that he wants to make everyday carry more convenient, saying “I thought to myself there’s got to be another way to be able to carry without bothering other people.”

I know; you’re sitting at home, racking your brain over what to get that special someone in your life. You want something unique, something that shows how much you care…something like a double-barreled .380 camouflaged to look like an iPhone, amiright? It’s perfect for the multi-tasker in your life, the person who always has their phone attached to their ear but occasionally needs to be a good guy with a gun taking out a bad guy with a gun.

Yep, nothing says “I have WAY more money than common sense” than a handgun disguised as an iPhone? Of course, when Siri’s packing, you can bet that no one will be asking her smart-ass questions like, “What’s the meaning of life?,” “Who’s buried in Grant’s tomb?,” or the perennial favorite, “Where can I get a blowjob?”

As a very sage observer once weighed in, “We may have the technology, but that doesn’t mean we NEED the technology.”
