If not for The Black Guy in the White House, America would be a virtual Paradise

Tony Perkins, the president of the Family Research Council, invited Rep. Mark Meadows to his “Washington Watch” program on Wednesday to discuss a recent report alleging that there are “unbelievable” amounts of child pornography on the computers of employees of U.S. defense and intelligence agencies…. Perkins, who has linked the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell to everything from suicides to sexual assaults to the Secret Service prostitution scandal, was quick to draw a line between porn viewing by government employees and the Obama administration’s having “interjected sex into any and everything.”…. I was just reading a story in the Army Times where they’re suggesting that upwards of 20 percent of those in the military are addicted to online pornography. But then, we’ve seen how this administration has interjected sex into any and everything and, in particular, the military, where sexual assaults are going through the roof.

After more than seven years of nonstop widespread shameless blame casting, it’s no longer surprising that Conservatives blame The Black Guy in the White House © for everything from terrorism to the Chicago Cubs World Series drought to the Lindbergh kidnapping. It seems there’s nothing the Rabid Right can’t somehow figure out a way to tie to the nefarious, anti-Christian, anti-freedom, America-hating agenda of Barack Obama, who in their eyes is Just. That. Evil. Some of the efforts to hang culpability on The Black Guy in the White House © are rather comical…and at this point, it’s not as if the zealots and ideologues (and racists) can be expected to cease and desist simply because they’re being ridiculous.

Speaking of ridiculous, Perkins’ thinly-sourced attempt to tie The Black Guy in the White House © to the alleged porn addiction rampant among U.S. defense and intelligence agencies is every bit of that. It certainly couldn’t be a matter of holding the adults in the employ of the federal government responsible for their own actions…right?? Repealing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”- as ANY good, God-fearing, patriot KNOWS- is clearly and undeniably the proximate cause of unchecked masturbatory fantasies on government computers. It has to be; Tony Perkins says so.

Perkins’s penchant for conveniently blaming The Black Guy in the White House © for reports of sexual assaults having “gone through the roof” may seem a convenient and appropriate explanation to those conditioned by Fox News Channel to assume the worst of this President. Unfortunately for the reality-impaired, he clearly seems to have blown past the possibility that changes within the military have helped create a new framework, one more friendly to female service members. Reporting sexual assaults is easier and not as subject to retaliation as was previously the case. Reports of sexual assaults are taken far more seriously in today’s military, which would certainly explain why the frequency of reported incidents has “gone through the roof.”

I can’t speak to whether or not pornography in government workplaces is an actual problem in need of being addressed…or if it’s merely the product of Perkins’ overheated imagination and willingness to blame The Black Guy in the White House © for every problem under the sun. Would Perkins have had a similar meltdown if the same “problems” had existed during the reign of George W. Bush? That’s open to conjecture, of course, but it’s no stretch to think anyone not severely reality-impaired would agree the Sturm und Drang would have been considerably less than what’s routinely directed at The Black Guy in the White House ©. It may or may not be a case of White Makes Right, but there’s certainly little doubt but that there’s a double standard at work. The The Black Guy in the White House © has been judged by that dishonest yardstick and found wanting for seven-plus years by the American Taliban.

Stay classy, y’all!
