Day 6 on the Campaign Trail

Mondale-Coleman race begins in Minnesota

Election vitriol subsides: Perry, Sanchez ads focus on positives

Yeah, well, I haven't seen them yet, but if they're focusing on the positive they're likely very short ads.

I can see the finish line from here. On a day when Tony Sanchez was hanging with that noted Media Whore, Jesse Jackson, and John Cornyn was cavorting with VP Dick Cheny, I had Einar (my cat). He can't vote, but he's probably better company than either Cheney or Jackson, and he does just fine without a camera being stuck in his face. Me? I'm just plugging along. Campaigning is a tiresome, thankless task, especially when most of your day is spent in traffic. Ah, well, no one ever said that the life of an intrepid political candidate would be glamourous, eh??

The endorsements are (slowly, ever so slowly) rolling in. Christine checks in with her thumbs-up. (Thanks!) Perhaps by Election Day, my campaign will have attracted enough publicity to get me into that coveted double-digit territory. Even Meryl Yourish has chimed in with what, for her, is probably a ringing endorsement:

Jack,

You are nuts.

Best,

Meryl

Perhaps she is on to something. I'm not sure I'd argue with that assessment.

And from Chuck Kuffner:

I say:

Hey, if you're going to throw away your vote...why not throw it at someone you already know? Like our own Jack Cluth, for example.... Keep it in the family, I say.

Ah, yes...I can FEEL the momentum building....
