Perry signs law on homeowners insurance rates
This is little more than smoke and mirrors until Governor Goodhair can solve this little conundrum:
Homeowners have seen their rates increase by as much as 200 percent and lowering those rates was a campaign theme for many politicians.
State lawmakers can do little to control the rates now because 95 percent of homeowners insurance premiums are written by insurers that are not state regulated.
