Ah, I love the smell of smug self-righteousness in the morning...it smells like victory. Lord knows there are few things more objectionable than a smug, self-superior Conservative claiming victory. Nope, no gracious homage to her opponents- just the verbal equivalent of stuffing the bodies of her "vanquished opponents" into a wood chipper.
Jeez, Ann, it must be tough maintaining such a lofty degree of moral superiority on a daily basis, no? How do you do it? It may be true that the anti-war Left did not carry the day, but does that give you the right to insult their integrity and their Constitutionally-guaranteed right to express their views? What is freedom of speech if Conservatives are determining just what constitutes free speech?
And while we're heavily involved in denigrating our "opponents", do you REALLY think that anyone would be seriously paying attention to ANYTHING you say were if not for your telegenic good looks? You have nothing useful to contribute to the state of public discourse- unless you consider vitriol and denigration to be positive additions to the debate. Yours is a tired act, Ann; perhaps if you had something useful and constructive to say it might be otherwise.
Any "victory" that you claim, if such even exists, is merely Pyrrhic. Being a Liberal, I neither grant you your victory nor do I recognize the legitimacy of your claim to moral superiority. Self-righteous? Perhaps. Smug? Definitely. Arrogant? Without a doubt. But not morally superior.
There are those who choose to build and those who choose to destroy. Clearly, you are bent on destruction. It's time for you to go; perhaps Ted Rall will lend a hand....
