Sunday morning free association

It's a quiet Sunday morning, and all I really feel like doing is indulging my stream of consciousness. So, here goes:

  • Get the cell phone: Your spam is calling. REAL friends don't lets friend have unprotected text....

  • News Flash: ALLIED TROOPS IN IRAQ FIND THAT THEY'VE BECOME OBJECTS OF DISAFFECTION. And all this time, I'd thought we were universally loved and appreciated....

  • Bigwig tells us what the MoveOn Democratic primary REALLY means. OK, so the top six spots were taken were taken by white males, and so what if the female and African-American candidates brought up the rear? Hey, some of my best friends are...oh, never mind.

  • Saudi Arabia - Questions of Human Rights. You see, human rights are really a very simple proposition in Saudi Arabia- THERE ARE NONE. And that's why no attorneys are needed.
  • Larry Simon explains The Laptop Gambit. This is why terrorists are generally smarter than your average minimum-wage-making airport security drone.

  • When I want to relax and have some fun, I take Susan to an Astros game at Minute Maid Park. Chuck Kuffner? Well, he takes his wife to a redistricting hearing at Texas Southern University. Methinks someone perhaps needs to get out more, but Chuck does provide an excellent report on what sounds like the political equivalent of a three-ring circus

  • Natalie Yates introduces us to Mistress Bertha. Yikes....

  • Breakdown of Intefadeh Death Toll: it's all so much simpler when you break things down scientifically, eh?

  • Scott Ott tells us that the rumors are true: Democrat Candidates Concede 2004 Election to Bush. It's not as if we had any real candidates, anyway....

  • Is it really illegal to pick the bluebonnets? One of the "truisms" that has been drilled into my skull since I moved to Texas is that it's illegal to pick bluebonnets- being that it's the state flower and all. It turns out that this is just another Texas old wive's tale. While it may certainly be bad karma to pick bluebonnets, it's NOT illegal.

  • Charles Johnson provides us with the Fatwa of the Day. So who says Islam is a religion of tolerance?

  • And, of course, my morning would not be complete without an homage to Owen Courrèges, whose permalinks seem to be dysfunctional, but nonetheless offers a truly frightening take on SCOTUS' recent decent overturning anti-sodomy laws.

Happy Sunday, y'all!!
