Police: Mom kills child who 'got on her nerves'
The mother is alleged to have choked and threw the child down on the floor. Of course, Mama goes to bed. When she wakes up, the child is dead. She goes out in the woods and buries the child, covers it up with lime.

If you've read TPRS for any length of time, you're likely familiar with my stance that some folks just should NOT be allowed to breed. While I'm reluctant to advocate eugenics (who gets to make those decisions, after all?), stories like this make me wonder why we as a society can't recognize unfit parents before they go off on their offspring.
LIVINGSTON-- A Polk County woman was charged with capital murder today after leading authorities to the site where her 4-year-old son's body was buried in the woods.
Tabitha A. Boone, 25, was arrested and charged following the body's discovery....
Allen said Boone confessed and said "the child got on her nerves."
The woman told Child Protective Service workers, who had been called to her home, that the boy was with his father in Alvin, Allen said. CPS checked out the story but couldn't locate the boy and notified the sheriff's department, Allen said.
Boone has two other children, a 6-year-old and a newborn. Those children are now in CPS custody, he said.
People will cluck their disapproval, shake their heads, and hold forth on what a terrible tragedy this was- and couldn't this have been avoided? In the end, exactly NOTHING will change. Usually I take a good deal of perverse joy in ridiculing DUMB@$$ AWARD winners, but I don't feel much like laughing this time around. More than anything, I feel profoundly sad for a four-year-old boy whose only crime was having a troll with an anger management problem for a mother. He did not deserve his fate, and Ms. Boone surely did not deserve to be blessed with a child.
Amazing, isn't it? You need a license to hunt, fish, even to own a business, but any troglodyte with a high sperm count or a functional uterus can have a child. How do we keep this from happening? I'm not certain that I'm the one to come up with the answers, because all of my solution involve preemptive actions that could easily be held to be serious civil rights violations. Is this really a bad thing if it means a child gets to grow up, graduate from high school, go to college, and perhaps have a family of his or her own?? I wonder....
Right. We're so concerned with the rights of parents, but what about the right of a child to grow up in a loving, caring, supporting, drug- and alcohol abuse-free environment? What about the right of a child to be able to look to her mother for love, support, and nurturing? Oh, right, I keep forgetting...children can't vote.
