Another DUMB@$$ AWARD wiener

Police: Xbox Theft Spurred Fla. Slayings

DUMB@$$ AWARD wiener #135: Troy Victorino

Anger management is a good thing- or at least it would seem to be for most of us. The lack of it can sometimes lead to some horrific results, and when it happens there is usually a DUMB@$$ in the middle of things. This tragedy is no different.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- A man who was angry about a suspected theft recruited three teenagers to stab and beat six people to death with baseball bats in a Florida home, investigators said Sunday after making four arrests.

Remains of the six victims -- four men and two women -- were found Friday in the blood-spattered home....

All of the victims had been stabbed, but autopsies determined the cause of death was the beating injuries.

Troy Victorino, 27, of Deltona was identified as the ringleader....

"Officials struggling to come up with a motive for the crime believe the killings were committed over the theft of some clothes and an Xbox game system owned by Victorino," who has a criminal record for assault, a statement from the sheriff's office said.

The bodies were discovered in a three-bedroom home in Deltona, about 25 miles north of Orlando, after one victim's co-worker at Burger King called a friend and asked the person to visit the home because the victim had not arrived for work, officials said.

Man, this makes you wonder what Victorino might have done if someone had done something REALLY serious, like stealing his Bud Light. The sad thing is that six people died for something stupid and pointless like an Xbox. Sounds like someone needs to get his priorities in order before he goes to Florida's electric chair.

Do not pass "Go", do not collect $200....

UPDATE: It now appears that if the normal Florida Department of Corrections procedures had been followed, Mr. DUMB@$$...er, Mr. Victorino...would be behind bars for parole violations, and six people would still be alive (and no doubt playing happily with the Xbox). Four people have (deservedly) lost their jobs over this fiasco. I would imagine much litigation will ensue....
