Drudge hyped it, the Washington Times splashed it on the front page, and we’re still getting mail about it. Apparently, George W. Bush believes in God. Gee, if he hadn’t said in the 2000 primary that his favorite philosopher was Jesus, this would be breaking fucking news. The quote that’s gotten the most attention the president’s belief that you can’t “be president at least from my perspective… without a relationship with the Lord.” Talk about your litmus tests! Anyhow, we were more interested in how “the great right of people to worship or not worship” is “what distinguishes us from the Taliban.” We thought it was the funny hats.
