But it got there within 30 minutes....

British army pilot delivered pizza

Pilot in Trouble for Copter Pizza Delivery

MY NEW HERO #2: An unnamed heroic British Army helicopter pilot

During a routine low-level training sortie, somebody decided it would be an opportunity to use it for a delivery. The pilot took it upon himself to basically deliver this pizza. He has been made aware that the chain of command doesn’t condone his actions and has been disciplined.

  • UK Ministry of Defense spokesman

There are, I suppose, many ways to demonstrate your love for your significant other. Really, though, what says “I love you!” more than delivering a pizza via helicopter?

When it absolutely, positively has to be there in 30 minutes or less, call a Royal Army helicopter pilot….

A lieutenant has been disciplined after using an Army helicopter to deliver a pizza to his girlfriend.

The incident on 25 January saw the unnamed officer divert from a routine training flight over Stanford, Norfolk, to take the fast food….

The pizza was understood to have been delivered to a female officer cadet at an Army range at Thetford, Norfolk.

The Ministry of Defence spokesman did not confirm what toppings were on the pizza.

I can only hope that the pilot didn’t skimp on the toppings….
