Witnesses: Cheerleaders had Sex in Bar
If you’re a cheerleader for a professional football team, you might want to keep in mind that, as a public figure (albeit an exceedingly minor one), you personal foibles can, and under the right circumstances will, serve as fodder for those looking to peddle scandal. Of course, this case hardly qualifies as a scandal, but it is pretty silly and reasonably amusing. LESBIANS??? ON A PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM’S CHEERLEADING SQUAD? WHAT IS THIS, THE EXPRESSWAY TO SODOM AND GOMORRAH????
Jeez, you’d think these two could have just gotten a room. Then they wouldn’t have to explain to their employers how they came by their DUMB@$$ AWARD. If there’s one thing I’ve learned through the history of the DUMB@$$ AWARD, it’s that being the recipient of one is not exactly a recipe for job security…even if your “job” if prancing around in skimpy outfits in front of 75,000 drunk males at an NFL football game.
Nice work if you can get it, eh? You get to be the object of the desires of untold numbers of drunk, horny men, and- if you’re so inclined- you get to meet other hot young women in fabulous physical condition. What’s a girl to do?
TAMPA, Fla. — Two Carolina Panthers cheerleaders were charged after their arrest at a bar where witnesses told police the women had sex in a restroom.
Renee Thomas, 20, of Pittsboro, N.C., and Angela Keathley, 26, of Belmont, N.C., were taken to Hillsborough County Jail early Sunday.
Witnesses said the women were having sex in a stall with each other, angering patrons waiting in line to get into the restroom at the club in the Channelside district.
If it had only been two cheerleaders getting busy in a restroom stall (and am I the only one who’s wasted far too much mental energy trying to determine just what two women could DO with each other in a restroom stall??), that might have been the end of it. But, given that we are talking about two DUMB@$$E$ here, there’s more to the story…and what would a DUMB@$$ story about be without some violence?
Thomas was charged with battery Sunday after allegedly striking a bar patron when she was leaving the restroom, then landed in even more trouble after police said she gave officers a driver’s license belonging to another Panthers cheerleader who was not in Tampa….
Keathley, charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, was released on $750 bail about an hour before the Panthers played the Bucs at Raymond James Stadium. The cheerleaders were not in town to perform at the game.
No, but they apparently were in town to perform in the women’s restroom at a club in Tampa’s Channelside district. No one sets out to earn a DUMB@$$ AWARD, but many have the (dis)honor thrust upon them…and it sounds like a DUMB@$$ AWARD wasn’t the only thrusting going on….
