You know, I’ve never done this for the nookie, but it can be gratifying to discover that a few folks out there actually enjoy TPRS. While maintaining my little sandbox is largely an exercise in self-gratification (metaphorically speaking, of course), every now and then I’m mildly surprised. Such is the case with the Koufax Awards. TPRS has been nominated for two Koufax Awards: Most Deserving of Wider Recognition and Best State and Local Blog. Apparently, the “Most Likely to Die In A Drug-Induced Stupor After Choking On His/Her Own Vomit” category was already full….
I have no real illusions that I’ll actually win anything, but being recognized for what you do, in whatever form that might take, is a good thing, no? It’s nice to be validated, and after four-and-a-half years, I’ll take it wherever I can get it. And if any of y’all want to send me a check large enough so I can do this full-time…well, let’s just say I’m open to the possibilities.
