The politics of the bedroom (via World O’ Crap)
This is what feminism has done to women. It has demonized marriage, it has demolished prudence, and it has denigrated the concept of commitment. The only types of marriages liberals like are ones that involve male-on-male sodomy or lesbian fisting…. Aside from seeing it as a form of chauvinistic slavery, liberals see marriage as a commitment in the same way they see talking to someone on the subway as a commitment. Remember when first base was asking a girl out, second base was kissing her, and third base was a relationship? Well now, first base is having sex, second base is getting married, and third base is leaving your spouse for Angelina Jolie.
Memo to self-righteous troglodytes like Christian Hartsock: arrogant, self-satisfied hatred of women and Liberals is a damn poor basis for anything resembling sound social policy. You may think that your Conservative ideology somehow makes you an expert on anything and everything that is wrong with this world, but your devotion to “the way things oughta be” blinds you to the realities of how the world actually is. The reality that you are (thankfully) a pronounced minority doesn’t seem to deter you from spewing your ignorance and arrogance.
Nowadays, for women, the prerequisites to getting married (whatever that means) are having sex with about a dozen men and having at least one abortion (and preferably a partial-birth one).
If liberals only knew what they were missing out on with their hedonism and their debauchery and their insistence on fornicating with every fish in the sea before they do the whole “marriage” thing, they would realize that it is devout Christians who are having the best sex right now out of anyone on the planet.
It would seem that in Hartsock’s world, cheap insults, silly arguments, and specious, unsupportable claims are serviceable substitutes for honest debate. Why have a reasoned, dispassionate debate when you can insult and degrade your ideological adversary, thus leaving you feeling victorious and morally and intellectually superior It’s SO much easier to call someone names than to try to support your arguments with facts, evidence, and sound reasoning. Why waste your time trying to convince people with the logic and supportable evidence of your argument when a few well-place snarky insults will accomplish the same thing with far less effort?
It must be nice being so obviously superior to the rest of us lowly, unworthy, mere mortals. Yes, those of us who actually manage to respect our fellow human beings, even if they don’t think, live, or believe as we do?
You know, it might suck being a member of the unwashed masses of Liberals, but at least I can look at myself in the mirror and feel as if I address issues honestly and openly. Christian Hartsock wouldn’t know how to construct a decent, honest, respectful argument if one bit him in the ass. His arguments are ignorant and just plain silly, and his palpable disrespect for the majority of Americans who don’t think, live, or believe as he does is sadly typical of so many on the Right.
Many may aspire, and few may attain, but few have demonstrated their DUMB@$$ AWARD-worthiness more effectily than Christian Hartsock. If you want to “congratulate” him on his wisdom, his insight, and his sheer mean-spirited arrogance, feel free to email him. I’m sure he’ll appreciate your thoughtfulness, and he’ll probably even have a few well-chosen insults to toss in your direction.
