It's a good thing God's a Republican, eh?

House Conservatives Reveal What God Thinks About Gay Marriage Amendment

So it turns out that it just might be possible that the House of Representatives might not be quite the bastion of hatred I thought it was. The House of Representatives has voted down a constitutional amendment that would have banned gay marriage. Thankfully, our stalwart and godly Republican warriors went down fighting the good fight, bravely wielding the sword of righteousness as they attempted vainly to ensure that God’s will prevailed.

How do we know that this amendment was God’s will? Well, because His Personally Appointed Representatives on Earth told us so:

Rep. John Carter (R-TX): “It’s part of Gods plan for the future of mankind.”

Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN): “It wasn’t our idea, it was God’s.”

Rep. Bob Beauprez (R-CO): “We best not be messing with His plan.”

Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-GA): “I think God has spoken very clearly on this issue.”

And it’s even better on video. Praise God and pass the pork rinds, willya??
