Cynthia McKinney Missing In Action

Rep. Cynthia McKinney was a no-show this week in the U.S. House, as WSB Washington Correspondent Jamie Dupree reports that the Georgia Democrat missed all four days of legislative business and every vote on the House floor as well. McKinney’s office offered no comment as to why the Congresswoman did not return to Washington after Tuesday’s primary election, where she was forced into an August 8th runoff against Hank Johnson…. I’ve often heard it said that 90% of career success can be laid to simply showing up for work. Former DUMB@$$ AWARD wiener Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-GA) must have missed the memo, because she’s just stopped showing up. Of course, McKinney has never been the most diligent of public servants, and no one will ever be presenting her with an award for perfect attendance.

It’s like a game of “Where’s Waldo?” , except we’re talking about a Congresswoman who gets paid to represent her district. If you can’t be bothered to show up, then why are you even running for re-election? Why not allow a Democrat who’s actually committed to doing what needs to be done go to Washington? Or are is McKinney really only interested in the job of Congresswoman because it pays more than anything else she could find at home in Georgia and she gets her face on TV regularly?

Being an attention whore and a race baiter is a damn poor reason for running for Congress…but it seems to have worked for Rep. DUMB@$$ McKinney. It’s just too bad that she can’t be bothered to show up for work
