McKinney Introduces Bill to Impeach Bush
Impeach for Peace’s “Holiday Impeachment Card”
In what was likely her final legislative act in Congress, outgoing Georgia Rep. Cynthia McKinney introduced a bill Friday to impeach President Bush. The legislation has no chance of passing and serves as a symbolic parting shot not only at Bush but also at Democratic leaders. Incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has made clear that she will not entertain proposals to sanction Bush and has warned the liberal wing of her party against making political hay of impeachment. McKinney, a Democrat who drew national headlines in March when she struck a Capitol police officer, has long insisted that Bush was never legitimately elected. In introducing her legislation in the final hours of the current Congress, she said Bush had violated his oath of office to defend the Constitution and the nation’s laws. In the bill, she accused Bush of misleading Congress on the war in Iraq and violating privacy laws with his domestic spying program.
Hey, I’d be the first Democrat to admit that former DUMB@$$ AWARD wiener Cynthia McKinney is an idiot. Yes, the (barely) Honorable Rep. McKinney is just plain bat sh-t crazy…a few fries short of a Happy Meal, if you will. Then again, even a blind squirrel finds an acorn now and again, eh? True, McKinney’s bill to impeach the Smirking Murderer Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader is destined to die a valiant and courageous death in a legislative body not normally known for moral courage and the will to do the right thing. Still, as a symbolic protest, her bill speaks for itself.
Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have both gone on record stating that any talk of impeachment is off the table. Nonetheless, that by no means should be taken as indication that any thought of impeachment will simply die when McKinney goes back to her funny farm in Atlanta.
I’ve given a lot of thought to this issue. I had to determine whether or not I was just advocating that Democrats exact their vengeance for Republican persecution of Bill Clinton. Really, though, when you compare the “crimes” side by side, there’s simply no comparison. What it boils down to is one simple fact: no one died when Bill Clinton lied. Our Glorious Leader’s lies, deception, and propaganda are responsible for the death of untold thousands, with more to come. If that doesn’t rise to the level of “High Crimes and Misdemeanors”, I don’t know what does.
Let’s be real for a moment, shall we? If Republicans can impeach a sitting President for getting his helmet polished by a zaftig White House intern, should Democrats not be able to do the same for Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader’s murderous lies and propaganda? Who committed the worse crime? If you hesistate in answering that, you should just go ahead and surrender your voter’s registration card right now, because you clearly don’t deserve to use it.
So, before the men in the white coats come to cart Rep. McKinney back to Crazy Town, she gets a hearty TPRS tip o’ the toque. Well done….
