Right-Wing Radio Host: Teachers Unions Are ‚Äö√Ñ√≤Much More Dangerous’ Than Al Qaeda

DUMB@$$ AWARD wiener #538: Neal Boortz

Last night on Fox News’s Hannity and Colmes, right-wing radio host Neal Boortz claimed that teachers unions are “destroying a generation and are “much more dangerous than al Qaeda. He stated, “Look, Al Qaeda, they could bring in a nuke into this country and kill 100,000 people with a well-placed nuke somewhere. Ok. We would recover from that. It would be a terrible tragedy, but the teachers unions in this country can destroy a generation. Sean Hannity agreed, noting, “They are ruining our school system….. In 2004, then Secretary of Education Rod Paige similarly called the NEA a “terrorist organization. NEA responded to Paige’s remarks, saying it is “morally repugnant to equate those who teach America’s children with terrorists…..Boortz also called to abolish the Department of Education and in the past, charged that public schools are “brainwashing American children.

There are few trolls who more noticeably drag their knuckles across the countryside than the walking, talking argument for pre-emptive abortion that is Neal Boortz. How Boortz, who is to reasonable, intellectual discussion what Jeffrey Dahmer was to vegetarianism, managed to get a soap box from which to spew his ignorance and lunacy is beyond me. I mean, does anyone actually pay attention to this buffoon?

Boortz has actually written a book, and I’m surprised that he could string together enough complete sentences to make something resembling a coherent argument. It’s called Somebody’s Gotta Say It. I would agree; somebody’s gotta say it, so I will: Neal Boortz is a buffoon so in love with and so convinced of his own brilliance that he will do or say anything that will keep the paychecks coming, whether from MSGOP MSNBC or Fox News Channel. It would seem that there’s quite a market for arrogant, self-satisfied ignorance, and Boortz has hit the mother lode.

Actually, the people who are ruining our school system are people like Boortz, who think that we and our children all have the right to his opinion and nothing but his opinion. The idea of diversity of opinion and though seems lost on intolerant buffoons like Boortz, for whom indoctrination in Conservative ideology is the only proper form of “education”.

Tolerance? Understanding? Appreciation of diverse religious, ideological, and philosophical schools of thought? Not if Neal Boortz has anything to say about it….
