Hello...my name is Jack, and I'm a cut-and-run defeatocrat....

I realize that I’m very likely not the only one who feels this way (in fact, I have PLENTY of company), but I’m sick and tired of the tenor of war propaganda emanating from the White House. Though the vast majority of American’s are fed up with this generation’s Vietnam, Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © insists on “staying the course”, which from what I can see means needlessly sacrificing more young American lives for the sake of his legacy a war without end, AMEN.

All the Democratic Congress has done is to represent the will of the Sheeple, by approving legislation that requires that some checks and balances be placed on our involvement in Iraq. Though Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © has stated repeatedly that our involvement in Iraq is not open-ended, he continues to insist that to set a date will only serve to “embolden the enemy”. To listen to him would be to understand that what this really means is that forcing him to do anything he doesn’t want to would “embolden the enemy”.

Yes, our involvement may not be “open-ended”, but from what I can tell this only means that we’ll pull out of Iraq sometime between now and the end of time. After four years of lies, mismanagement, and propaganda, four years after “Mission Accomplished”, isn’t it time that we demand that the status quo be changed?

If this gets me branded as a “cut-and-run defeatocrat”, then that’s a label I’ll wear proudly- and why not? If the definition of insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly while expecting different results…well, what do YOU think that says about The Worst President EVER © ?

It’s time for a change. It’s time to bring our sons and daughters home and force Iraqis to do for themselves what we’ve spent the past four years doing for them. If there’s dying that has to be done, shouldn’t it be Iraqis doing it? Yes, I know; we broke it, but anyone with an ounce of intellectual integrity will readily admit that we cannot fix it. It’s time for Iraqis to stand up and fight for their country. Our soldiers are supposed to be fighting for OUR country, not someone else’s, particularly in a war that can only charitably be described as this nation’s Vietnam.

It’s time for a change…and it’s going to take “cut and run defeatocrats” like you and me to make it happen.
