Gingrich Blames Virginia Tech Tragedy On Liberalism
It’s a rare occasion when I award a DUMB@$$ AWARD to a previous wiener. After all, once you’ve established your DUMB@$$ bonafides, anything else is just showing off. Then again, there are those DUMB@$$E$ who are so over the top, so clueless, and so (&^%$#@ arrogant that I can’t help but “honor” them again. Such is the lot of Newt Gingrich, who, despite being a man of obvious intellectual agility, is a DUMB@$$ of the first (and worst) order.
That there are knuckle-dragging cretins who attribute all the world’s ills to Liberalism is nothing new. Most of these Conservatives display the intellecuality flexibility of an empty milk bottle, so it’s easy to ignore them. For verily, thou shalt be know be the scabs on thy knuckles….
Gingrich is a particularly egregious offender, and his diatribe yesterday on ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos is merely the latest example of the man’s willingness to turn anything, no matter how offensive or exploitative, to his political advantage. That Gingrich is willing to use the Virginia Tech massacre to sell his craven political agenda is merely yet another example of the reality that the man knows no shame…or simple human decency.
There’s ample evidence out there of Gingrich’s arrogant disregard for truth and decency. Here is just a small sampling of his “greatest hits”:
In 1994, after Susan Smith confessed to drowning her two children in South Carolina, Gingrich quickly blamed liberals, saying the only way to avoid similar future incidents was “to vote Republican.”
After former Rep. Mark Foley (R-FL) was forced to resign over his sexually inappropriate behavior towards House pages, Gingrich declared that conservatives didn’t act to stop Foley because they “would have been accused of gay bashing” by liberals.
At the Conservative Political Action Conference earlier this year, Gingrich blamed the residents of New Orleans’ 9th ward for “a failure of citizenship,” by being “so uneducated and so unprepared, they literally couldn’t get out of the way of a hurricane.”
That ANYONE could in all seriousness blame Columbine and Virginia Tech on Liberalism is difficult enough to believe. That it’s Newt Gingrich only cements the reality that he is about as fit to be President as Pee Wee Herman. Good God, y’all…I can only hope that there’s a very special place in Hell waiting for Newt Gingrich- and that his welcoming committee will include Cho Seung-Hui, Eric Harris, and Dylan Kleibold. This DUMB@$$ deserves nothing less.
