Hatred and ignorance are the true universal values

Moonie Times Runs Ad About Nappy-Headed Zionists

Washington Times again prints anti-Israel ad

In yet another outrage of someone saying something ‚Äö√Ñ√Æ but in print this time! ‚Äö√Ñ√Æ the Washington Times is in a heap of trouble for running some ad from a crackpot. The crackpot is apparently the last American Christian to believe Israel is bad. His ad proclaimed that “Israel and her Zionists are not a friend to Christianity, Christians or Christ!”…. Washington’s ADL office immediately fired off an angry letter that read, in part: “The continued publication of these ads ‚Äö√Ѭ∂ suggests that the Washington Times is in fact willing to be used as a venue for extremists to spread their dangerous propaganda.”…. “Well, duh,” replied the Times’ publisher.

Hmm…let’s consider the realities at work here, shall we? The Washington Times is owned by the Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s Unification Church, which is to Christianity what Pee Wee Herman is to public self-gratification. The Times’ editorial slant frankly makes Fox News Channel look like a collection of Kum-ba-yah Left-wing libtards. So can anyone really claim to be surprised when the Times runs an ad accusing Israel of being anti-Christian?

The next thing you know, they’ll be accusing Israel of being run by a Jewish cabal.

Uh, wait….

The vice president and general manager of The Washington Times says he will review how an advertisement describing Israel as “an official anti-Christianity nation” was printed in the newspaper last week.

After being read portions of the ad text over the phone on Friday, Richard Amberg Jr. said that language from the March 28 advertisement “gets real close to the line” of violating the paper’s advertising policy, which does not allow ads that are false or that denigrate religions.

“There is a process” to review controversial ads, but “I was not here” and did not review this one, said Amberg. He said his initial recollection was that the ad was “related to Zionism and not the Jewish faith.”

Asked about the possible result of his review, Amberg said, “I wouldn’t want to speculate on this. Now that you’ve brought it to my attention, let’s leave it at that.”

Translation: “How about we just wait until all this blows over and y’all have forgotten about it? Then we’ll go on about our business, and you can find something else to vent your spleen about, ‘kay??”

Look, if you want news without an obvious and almost overpowering Right-wing stench slant, you’re not going to be reading The Washington Times to begin with. The Times is to journalistic integrity and impartiality what Benito Mussolini was to Italian democracy. If you want news, why is The Washington Times even part of the equation? Y’all should know better than that.

The good thing about The Washington Times is that at least you know a large number of Right-wing nutjobs are in one place. This means they’re easy to collectively ignore, because it’s not like they’re traveling incognito. Just ignore them. They’ll think they’re doing the Lord’s work, and you can go about your business as if they don’t matter- because truly, they don’t. Save your outrage and indignation; you’ll only end up encouraging them by allowing them to think they’re doing something worthwhile.
