If you're a Libtard, America-hating, limp-wristed Defeatocrat...the line starts behind me

Cheney Lashes Out at Democrats for War-Funding Bill: Vice President Says War Opponents are Playing into Hands of al-Qaeda

Vice President Cheney today lashed out at congressional Democrats for passing a war-funding bill that mandates troop withdrawals from Iraq, saying opponents of the four-year-old conflict are playing into the hands of the al-Qaeda terrorist group…. “The Democrats’ attempt to micromanage our commanders is unwise and it’s a perilous endeavor,” Cheney said at a political fundraiser in Tulsa, Okla. “It’s impossible to argue that an unconditional timetable for retreat could serve the security interests of the United States or those of our friends in the region. Instead, it sends a message to our enemies that the calendar is their friend, that all they have to do is wait us out. Wait for the date certain, and claim victory the day after.”

Is it just me, or is Dick Cheney sounding more like the Black Angel of Death with each passing day? Here’s a man who honestly seems to believe that dissent is treason and that to do anything but “stay the course” in Iraq means defeat and complete abject failure, from which America will retreat like a beaten puppy with it’s tail between it’s legs.

Cheney’s argument seems to be that anything less than complete and total obedience to Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader’s © dictates is treasonous and unAmerican. A REAL American would understand that, as Commander-in-Chief, Commander Codpiece © is deserving of nothing less than absolute lockstep obedience. After all, the war in Iraq (at least from te neoConservative viewpoint) is a carefully calibrated and brilliant piece of strategy designed to bring America that total and ultimate victory it deserves- in 2073, when the last Iraqi is murdered by terrorists, and al-Qaeda paves the country and turns it into a parking lot.

Quoting threatening statements allegedly made by al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, Cheney asserted that top Democrats, from party chairman Howard Dean to Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (Nev.), do not understand the importance of Iraq to winning the war on terror.

He’s right; Harry Reid is actually far more concerned with trying to determine why Sanjaya Malakar got booted from American Idol. Howard Dean spends most of his time trying to drink the blood of nubile young virgins who are delivered to his Capitol Hill office in the middle of the night. And any REAL American KNOWS that Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton are closet lesbians who are far more interesting in hot female interns than policy issues.

“Their prevailing mindset, combined with a series of ill-considered actions in the House and Senate over the last several months,” Cheney said, “causes me to wonder whether today’s Democratic leaders fully appreciate the nature of this danger that the country faces in the war on terror — a war that was declared against us by jihadists; a war in which the United States went on offense after 9/11; a war whose central front, in the opinion and actions of the enemy, is Iraq.”

Hmm…Cheney’s prevailing mindset, combined with a series of ill-considered propaganda and character assassination campaigns, causes me to wonder if he fully grasps the reality that THERE WAS NO TERRORIST THREAT IN IRAQ prior to the American invasion? It also makes me wonder if he will ever admit to the fact that THERE WAS NO CONNECTION BETWEEN 9.11 AND SADDAM HUSSEIN’S REGIME? After all, his boss has.

Cheney’s philosophy is to follow failure and thousands of wasted American lives with yet more failure and more thousands of wasted American lives. After all, if we keep at it long enough, eventually we’ll wear the terrorists out, no?

“Opponents of our military action there have called Iraq a diversion from the real conflict, a distraction from the business of fighting and defeating bin Laden and the al Qaeda network,” Cheney said. “We hear this over and over again … Yet the evidence is flatly to the contrary. And the critics conveniently disregard the words of bin Laden himself: ‘The most serious issue today for the whole world,’ he said, ‘is this Third World War [that is] raging’ ” in Iraq.

Here’s the problem with Cheney’s argument. Simply calling something “evidence” does not make it so. Facts are not something that you can simply make up as you go to fit your argument. The reality is that the war in Iraq is and never has been about terrorism. It’s never been about al-Qaeda or 9.11. The only reason that this “Third World War raging in Iraq” is the “most serious issue today” is because the policies of Cheney and The Worst President EVER © have sunk this country axle-deep into a quagmire from which there is no longer any hope of a graceful exit.

Contrary to Cheney’s argument, his “evidence” is little more than the same warmed-over propaganda we’ve been fed since the war began. I’m tired of it…and frankly, if you’re not mad as Hell, you’re simply not paying attention.

NOW CAN WE IMPEACH THE INEPT, LYING BASTARD?
