And a grateful nation sighs in relief....

Hillary Clinton: I’m not a lesbian

Hillary Clinton officially declared she’s not a lesbian - not that there’s anything wrong with that. During an interview with The Advocate to be published next week, Sean Kennedy, the gay magazine’s news and features editor, asked the presidential candidate, “How do you respond to the occasional rumor that you’re a lesbian?”…. “People say a lot of things about me, so I really don’t pay any attention to it,” Sen. Clinton (D-N.Y.) replied…. “It’s not true, but it is something that I have no control over. People will say what they want to say.”…. Kennedy told the Daily News he’s convinced. “I 100% believe she’s a straight, heterosexual woman,” he said.

OK, NOW can we get back to discussing things that actually MATTER? Can someone- ANYONE- tell me what POSSIBLE difference Sen. Clinton’s sexual orientation/preference makes in determining whether or not she is worthy of being or qualified to be our next President? What is with the public and the media’s fascination with this meaningless and insulting topic? Does the possibility that she might like girls make her less qualified to be the Leader of the Free World…and if you feel that way, how could you possibly justify that sort of indefensible position?

Will she bring our troops home from Iraq? Will she restore honor and dignity to the White House? Will she work to ensure the poor have access to health care? These are but a few of the questions we should be asking of Sen. Clinton. Her sexual orientation/preference should be nowhere on this list. If you think who she sleeps with is an issue…well, how about just going ahead and surrending your right to vote immediately- because you clearly don’t have a (&^%$#@ clue.

Perhaps if Republicans were more concerned with governance, this country wouldn’t be in the mess it’s in. Perhaps we’d have a President who could speak in complete sentences. Perhaps we’d have a President who actually cared about doing the right thing, instead of what’s best for the pronounced minority of drooling, reactionary sycophants who still support him. Sadly, Republicans care for only one thing- political power, regardless of how it’s obtained and maintained- and so this great nation is one (&^%$#-up mess, isn’t it? Yes, it is.
