Sometimes, a picture really is worth a thousand words

OK, so it’s not exactly a highly scientific poll, but neither is it off a “Liberal” website, either. Personally, I’m just wondering what it says about our ability to tolerate criminal ineptitude when fully 75% of this poll’s respondents characterize Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © as either an “arrogant liar”, a “miserable failure”, a “disastrous Decider”, or a “cluess moron”? (And what does this say about the 54+ million sheeple who voted for him in 2004?) Oddly enough, this reasonably closely mirrors the current poll numbers enjoyed by The Worst President EVER © .

Not so very long ago, America was admired world wide. We had a President in Bill Clinton who, while hardly perfect, brought the best of this country with him when he travelled around the world. Adoring crowds greeted him at virtually every stop, whether in Ireland, Estonia, or Germany. America’s reputation and power of persuasion were perhaps never higher. Now, a few short years later, we’re hated worldwide for our willing to enforce American democracy with the barrel of a gun…for what is war but foreign policy by other means? We now have a President who feels it perfectly natural to force American standards and values internationally in the name of fighting terrorism. Even worse, this nation is divided along ideological lines as never before.

Uh…didn’t someone ride into Washington on his white horse, promising to restore honor and dignity to the White House. And didn’t this same somebody promise to be a uniter and not a divider? Hmm…and here I’d been thinking that Republicans prided themselves on keeping promises. Yeah, right….
