MANSON, Wash. ‚Äö√Ñ√Æ Charles and Linda Everson were driving back to their hotel when their minivan was struck by a falling object ‚Äö√Ñ√Æ a 600-pound cow. The Eversons were unhurt but the cow, which had fallen off a cliff, had to be euthanized. The year-old cow fell about 200 feet from the cliff and landed on the hood of the couple’s minivan, causing heavy damage.

My first thought when I read this story was that there’s no way that these poor folks’ insurance company is ever going to believe the facts of loss on this claim. I work in the auto insurance industry, and I’m not certain I’d believe something like this if it came across my desk.
Then again, all these folks will need to do is to sit back and wait for the call to appear on The Late Show with David Letterman, eh?
