Jesus...coming soon to an inanimate object near you

Family Sees Virgin Mary On Living Room Wall: N.M. Family Says Image Is ‘Miracle’

A New Mexico family is counting its blessings after it discovered an image of the Virgin Mary on their living room wall, reported KOAT-TV in Albuquerque, N.M. Donna Quintana, of Meadow Lake, N.M., said it’s a much-needed blessing that appeared right before her family’s eyes Christmas Eve. Her husband saw it first…. “He noticed an image there. He said, ‘That looks like an image of the Virgin Mary,’” Quintana said. She said the image appeared during a home construction mishap. Quintana said her husband was putting a special texture on the wall. The spray bottle he was using broke twice, which meant the texture couldn’t be wiped off fast enough. This is how it dried…. “I feel like it’s telling us something, like it’s protecting us,” Quintana said. “It’s like a miracle.”…. Her family concurs…. “I think God is trying to tell us something, like a message from heaven,” said Mariah Quintana, Donna Quintana’s granddaughter.

Not so very long ago, I promised to swear off “severed penis” stories. After awhile, hacking off one’s Johnson, no matter how creatively done, is merely a variation on the same theme. Been there, done that…NEXT!

I’m about to that point with the “I saw Jesus in the [insert name of inanimate object here]” stories. Hey, I’m all for miracles and the wonderful things that allegedely accrue from them, but realistically, don’t you think this is destined for an eBay auction near you? And is this sort of thing anything but purely coincidental? After all, if the image really had the hand of God behind it, you’d think there would be winning lottery numbers in the image. Really, this latest image seems more to be little more than a Rohrshach test writ large. I look at it and I see the Black Angel of Death…but then again, I’m a cynic. Yeah, who knew, right??

I’m not certain what the message from God to this family could possibly be, but it might just be that their 15 minutes will be up in 3…2…1….
